In relation to the ASEAN Telecommunications and Information Technology Ministers’ Meeting held in Ubud, Bali from 3-6 December 2018, the Joint Media Statement was held on 6 December 2018. It was opened by H.E. Rudiantara, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia followed by Ministers of communication from the South East Asian countries. Consultations with dialogue partners e.g. Republic of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the International Telecommunication Union were also opened. The discussion was about aiming for the future of the digital ecosystem for South East Asia’s prosperity and ICT cooperation. Bintang Nusantara MICE provided all services related to the production and equipment of the joint statement. On this occasion the Ministers expressed appreciation to the Government and the People of the Republic of Indonesia for the warm hospitality extended to them and for the excellent arrangements made for the meetings.

The World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) is the first global-scale creative economy conference in the world and was initiated by the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf ) together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. WCCE was opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E Retno LP Marsudi and the Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf ), H.E Triawan Munaf on 7 November 2018 in Nusa Dua, Bali. WCCE was attended by more than 1,500 creative economic fellows e.g. academicians, business people, communities, government bodies, and media. Bintang Nusantara MICE was in charge of providing art performances for the Opening Ceremony. The spectacular opening ceremony presented traditional dance and music performances highlighting Dewa Budjana, a famous Indonesian guitarist, Andy Rif, and Gerald Situmorang, famous Indonesian singers, Jerome Gabe, a young rising pianist, I La Galigo, an ethnic dance group, and other artists.

Bintang Nusantara MICE was the appointed PCO for The Fourth Intergovernmental Review Meeting on the Global Program of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-based Activities (IGR-4 GPA) that was held from 31 October to 1 November 2018 in Nusa Dua, Bali. The conference was opened by the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E Siti Nurbaya Bakar on October 31, 2018, and attended by more than 500 participants including the Executive Director of UNEP, the Governor of Bali Province, the Ministers of Environment and representatives of UN Environment member countries, NGOs, experts and a number of members of the organization accredited by the UN Environment Assembly. Conducted by UNEP this international conference raised the main issues related to the protection of the marine environment from land-based activities.

The Africa Maritime Dialogue (IAMD) was held in Nusa Dua, Bali on 29 October 2018, in relation with Our Ocean Summit. The event was opened by the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E Retno L.P. Marsudi together with the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, H.E Susi Pudjiastuti. IAMD was attended by 23 African countries namely Algeria, Angola, Cabo Verde, Cote d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Libya, Madagascar, Mauritania, Mauritis, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Senegal, Seychelles, Somalia, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, the Comoros Union, Zambia and Zimbabwe. In addition to African countries, there were also partner countries present in this IAMD e.g. Japan, the Netherlands, four NGOs and non-state actors namely Fish-I-Africa, Global Fishing Watch, Interpol and UNODC. The countries attending IAMD agreed on the Summary of Meeting which emphasized the importance of increasing concrete cooperation in the maritime sector both in the maritime security and sustainable fisheris sectors through bilateral, trilateral cooperation with other partner countries, NGOs and other non-state actors.

The Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) hosted the Asia-Oceania Meteorological Satellite User Conference (AOMSUC) in Bogor and Jakarta on 6 - 11 October 2018. The conference was attended by 250 delegates from 44 countries. This six-day event was divided into a 2-day training program in Bogor and a 4-day conference in Jakarta. There were 62 speakers presenting their paper during the conference focusing on two main issues: current and future meteorological satellite programs and user plans within Asia-Oceania, and the application of satellite data for weather analysis and disaster monitoring, nowcasting and forecasting. This event was officially opened by Dr. James F.W. Purdom, Chair of AOMSUC International Conference Steering Committee (ICSC). He appreciated all the co-sponsors and ICSC members for their support for the various AOMSUC-9 events, which included training sessions, the major conference and the joint regional meeting on satellite data utilization. He also thanked the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for its kind facilitation to host this conference.

Initiated by the Ministry of Transportation Republic of Indonesia in cooperation with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), this meeting aimed to arrange the agreement of cooperation on sea freight trade and other technical cooperation. As the largest archipelagic country in the world, Indonesia has committed itself to continue working together to promote cooperation and investment in maritime infrastructure to enhance the domestic shipping- and trade industry. This cooperation is contained in forms of Multilateral, Regional and Bilateral Cooperation. The meeting was divided into several events, namely, the Workshop on International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (DGST-MPA), the Workshop on Port State Control (DGST-MPA), the DGST MPA Refresher Training Course for VTS Operator IALA V-103/5 and the IMO Member State Audit Scheme (IMSAS) Management Course (DGST-MPA). These events took place in Jakarta and Batam.

a) Workshop on International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code
Jakarta, 29-31 September 2018
The workshop on International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code was held at the Alila Hotel in Jakarta. This three-day workshop was attended by the representatives of the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST) and the experts from the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). This workshop was officially opened by the Indonesian Sea and Coast Guard, Ir. Junaidi. In his welcome remark, he said that one of the important factors in ensuring the safety of sea transportation is handling dangerous goods, from and to ships in ports. The experts from MPA shared their knowledge related to the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG Code) from identification, classification, and packaging. During the workshop they also shared the latest updates of the amendments to the IMDG Code.

b) Workshop on Port State Control
Jakarta, 1-3 October 2018
As a commitment to improve the protection of the marine environment and port security and as a member country to fulfill the provisions of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), Indonesia through the Ministry of Transportation c.q. the Directorate General of Sea Transportation continues to strive to improve the competence and professionalism of its Port State Control Officer by conducting a Workshop on Port State Control in collaboration with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA). The MPA, as speaker in this workshop, has shared their experiences and best practices related to the Port State Control, starting from ship inspection, ship controlling, training on Maritime Labor Convention (MLC) 2006 referring to PSC implementation, the audit scheme of IMO Member States related to port activities (electronic graphic displays and information systems); and they also shared the latest IMO technical conventions. This second three-day workshop was held at the Santika Premiere Hotel in Jakarta.

c) DGST MPA Refresher Training Course for VTS Operator IALA
Batam, 5 October 2018
The third program was attended by several representatives of the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST) to join the training course at VTS Center Batam. Officially opened by the Indonesian Director of Maritime Navigation, Ir. Sugeng; he stated that the operation of VTS is very necessary especially for shipping safety and the protection of the maritime environment. For this reason, the utilization of Vessel trafic Service (VTS) in providing information services must be optimized, he added. He also expressed his appreciation to MPA Singapore for their assistance in technical training for Indonesia VTS Operators, to obtain knowledge and experience from the experts to raise the technical capabilities of Indonesia VTS Operator. This training is a part of the MPA agreement to provide technical training for the Indonesia VTS Operator under the MoU between MPA and DGST.

d) IMO Member State Audit Scheme Management Course
Jakarta, 13-16 November 2018
A three-day course was conducted at the Mercure Sabang Hotel in Jakarta. Several representatives of Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DGST) were invited to learn IMSAS Management Course. The management course included a mock audit, where participants had the opportunity to present what they had learned and practice their auditing skills. The group exercises also allowed the participants to interact in a multi-cultural environment while understanding the topics in greater depth. Through these training courses under the Singapore-IMO TCTP, MPA hopes to enhance the DGSTs capacities to effectively implement international maritime regulations and standards.

This seminar was the last part of the Voyage to Indonesia program that led to the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings 2018. This seminar was officially opened by the Minister for Finance the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Sri Mulyani Indrawati at Hotel Aston in Banyuwangi. During her opening remarks, she stated that tourism is built not only for marketing purposes but also to build Indonesia's reputation. This was conveyed at the Voyage to Indonesia Seminar focusing on Sustainable Tourism Development Harnessing the Contribution, Preserving the Environment at the Aston Banyuwangi hotel.

This event was aimed at facilitating communication and cooperation between the Functional Officers of Goods/Services Procurement Managers in Indonesia and was held at three different locations in Jakarta, Bali, and Surabaya.

a) Jakarta, 2 August 2018
The communication forum was held at Bidakara Hotel in Grand Pancoran Jakarta on 2 August 2018. Taking place in Birawa Assembly Hall, this event was Officially opened by the Chief of National Public Procurement Agency (LKPP) Mr. Agus Prabowo. The Communication Forum was attended by 285 participants from various Ministries, Institutions and Regional Governments.

b) Bali, 5-6 September 2018
Officially opened by the Deputy of PPSDM LKPP, Mr. Robin Asad Suryo, 110 participants from various Ministries and Institutions in Indonesia were invited to this meeting. The Ballrooms 2 & 3 at Aryaduta Bali were used for this forum group discussion meeting.

c) Surabaya, 26-27 September 2018
The forum group discussion meeting was also held at JW Marriot hotel in Surabaya. Taking place in Ballroom B and C, this forum was attended by 200 participants from various Ministries, Institutions and Regional Governments.

Bekraf Developer Day was held at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel in Makassar, South Sulawesi. This event was attended by 1,400 participants from 25 universities from around Indonesia, initiated by the Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF) and supported by the Indonesian Game Association, Decoding Elite, Google Developer Expert, Intel Innovator, ID-Android Community, Samsung Warrior Developer and technology companies in Indonesia. The main theme of this event was Building Nation Independence through Digital. The opening remarks were presented by Mr. Hari Santosa Sungkari as the Deputy of Infrastructure of the Indonesian Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF) and Mr. Risman Adnan, Director of Samsung R&D Institute Indonesia. This event was organized by Bintang Nusantara MICE by providing all services related to transportation, accommodation, documentation, meeting packages, conference logistics, and production.

Initiated by the Ministry of the Transportation Republic of Indonesia, this technical guidance meeting was officially opened by the Head of Procurement and Management of State Property Bureau, Mr. Raden Ari Widianto, at Melia Purosani Hotel in Yogyakarta. This program was attended by 170 officials from 85 working units (UPT) from 9 provinces including Jakarta, Riau, Bangka Belitung, South Sumatera, Central Kalimantan, Jambi, South Kalimantan, Riau Island, and North Maluku. The main topics discussed during the three- day meeting included Management and Administration of State Property; Preparation of State-Owned Needs Plans; Policy for Management and Administration of State Property and Management in Administration of State Property (BMN) within the Directorate General of Sea Transportation.

The 5th Bali & Beyond Travel Fair was initiated by the Association of Indonesian Tours and Travel Agencies (ASITA) in collaboration with the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and the Government of Badung Regency. BBTF is a leading International travel and tourism exhibition in Indonesia bringing together sellers and buyers in a forum. This event was held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC) on 25-30 June 2018. The venue was turned into a big scale meeting place for sellers and buyers by successfully inviting 230 buyers from 40 countries. BBTF represents tourism at all levels, including hotels, tour operators, travel technology companies, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) players and representatives from travel companies. Carrying the theme “Exploring the Colors of Indonesia”, the fifth BBTF also invited experts to discuss tourism opportunities and trends, as well as the diversity of Indonesia’s cultures. Bintang Nusantara MICE was appointed to support in providing transportation and accommodation for all participants during this event.

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia held the Voyage to Indonesia's Seminar on Human Capital Investment as a New Driving Force of the Economy at The Anvaya Beach Resort Bali. This seminar was officially opened by the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Sri Mulyani Indrawati, accompanied by the Governor of Bali Province, I Made Mangku Pastika, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, H.E. Rudiantara, the Minister of Man Power, H.E. Muhammad Hanif Dhakiri, the Minister of Health, H.E. Nila Djuwati F. Moeloek and the Minister of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Bambang Brodjonegoro. This seminar aimed to discuss and formulate various information and data on contemporary conditions to become a policy recommendation and a possible solution proposal. Voyage to Indonesia" or “VTI ” is the theme for the series of activities organized by the IMF and partners in the Asia Pacific as groundwork for the 2018 Annual Meetings in Indonesia.

Initiated by the Ministry of Tourism Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bali Provincial Government, Bali Tourism Board (BTB) and Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a series of diplomatic tours were conducted with the purpose to restore tourism in Bali after the eruption of Mount Agung. This program invited the ambassadors and other representatives from 40 embassies from 38 countries and 4 international institutions to join the “Welcome Dinner” at Taman Bhagawan, the “Ring of Fire Tour” to Tirta Gangga, Kintamani and Tegalalang, the "Sincia with Love" Gala Dinner on Peninsula Island in Nusa Dua, followed by the “Sunday Morning Golf” at the Bali National Golf Club, Spa at M Spa and other activities to visit the Museum Pasifika and Bali Collection.

Officially opened by the Minister for Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Budi Karya Sumadi, the opening ceremony of the technical coordination meeting was held at the Ministry of Transportation Building in Central Jakarta. This meeting was attended by 235 Officials from the Chiefs of Provincial Transportation Offices. It was also attended by The Minister of Coordinating Ministry of Maritime Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan; the Minister of National Development Planning of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Bambang Brodjonegoro; and the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E Sri Mulyani Indrawati. This was also the opening for a series of coordination meetings initiated by the Ministry of the Transportation Republic of Indonesia.

a) Ministry of Transportation Coordination Meeting
Batam, 5 – 9 Februari 2018
Batam is the first province for coordination meetings and was held at the Swiss-bel hotel Harbour Bay Batam. This meeting was attended by 150 participants consisting of Chiefs and staffs of Provincial Transportation Offices in Aceh, North Sumatera, West Sumatera, South Sumatera, Bangka Belitung, Jambi, Banten, Riau Island, and Bengkulu. The meeting focused on discussing the future of regional work plan programs and budgeting particularly on transportation and infrastructure to be implemented in 2019.

b) Ministry of Transportation Coordination Meeting
Bali, 12 - 16 February 2018
The coordination meeting was successfully held at Harris Hotel & Residences Sunset Road in Bali. This meeting was attended by 150 participants consisting of Chiefs and Staffs of Provincial Transportation Offices in West Java, East Java, Center Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara and attended by participants of Chief and Staffs of Railway Testing Center (Balai Pengujian Perkeretaapian) and Railway Maintenance Center (Balai Perawatan Perkeretaapian).

c) Ministry of Transportation Coordination Meeting
Bogor, 19 – 23 February 2018
The coordination meeting was held at Icon Bogor Hotel. This five-day coordination meeting was attended by 150 participants consisting of Chiefs and staffs of Provincial Transportation Offices (Maluku, North Maluku, West Papua, Papua, Lampung, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan), Chiefs and Staffs of Inspectorate General, Directorate General of Rail Transportation, Directorate of Safety of the Transportation and Department of Research and Development of Ministry of Tranportation.

d) Ministry of Transportation Coordination Meeting
Manado, 26 February – 3 March 2018
The five-day coordination meeting was successfully held at Swiss-bel hotel Maleosan Manado. It was attended by 150 participants consisting of Chiefs and staffs of Provincial Transportation Offices in Sulawesi and Papua islands. The purpose of the coordination meeting is regional work plan programs and budgeting on transportation and infrastructure in Sulawesi and Papua island.

e) Ministry of Transportation Coordination Meeting
Jakarta, 5 – 20 March 2018
The Ministry of Transportation held the last meeting for Finalization and Identify Budget Allocation in 2019 at the Indonesia Ministry of Transportation Building in Central Jakarta. This meeting was officialy closed by the Minister for Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Budi Karya Sumadi. The output from this event will be implemented for the programs and improvement of the infrastructure in 2019.
